Blog Tour & Giveaway: A Four Letter Word by Michelle Lee

Synopsis
Zoey has had a crush on Evan since they first met in high school, but has never acted on those feelings. She has always felt she wasn’t Evan’s type and their friendship means too much to her to jeopardize. At a Halloween party, Zoey meets Griffin, something Evan isn’t too happy about. Zoey and Griffin’s budding relationship grows into something Zoey never thought she would find, that four letter word, love. When she is ready to marry Griffin, Evan decides to let his true feelings be known. Ultimately, Zoey has to decide, marry the one the currently loves, or be with the one she’s always loved.

Excerpt:

I stare a little longer than I probably should.  Evan is more than perfect in the barely-there loin cloth. His chest is sculpted and chiseled as if made from the finest Italian marble: the ripple of his muscles, the faint outline of a six-pack on his stomach, the v-shaped dip that is just exposed by the low riding material. His arms are slightly flexed; exposing the muscles that working out for hours has created. If he wasn’t Evan, if he wasn’t my best friend, I would probably be licking those arms right about now.  After all, I have a weakness for arms—just call me an arm girl.

Our Review:

5 STARS

I am in complete awe of this book that I can’t even begin to say how much I enjoyed reading it. After reading the synopsis and viewing the video trailer my expectations were high. A Four Letter Word managed to meet all my expectations plus more.

A Four Letter Word is very light and easy read, it gave me a little bit of everything I would want in a story. From the friendship to the love to heartbreak and finally the happily ever after.

The second I began reading A Four Letter Word I was reeled in by the easy banter of Evan and Zoey. Their friendship is beautiful; you can feel the love and trust that they have in each other. Don’t get me started with their new friends. They are amazingly outspoken and teased like there was no tomorrow. Once you got all the characters together it was a recipe for fun.

But not everything could be fun in games. Along comes Griffin and sweeps Zoey off her feet, leaving Evan on the sidelines. No matter how much Zoey tries to keep her best friend close, Evan is determined to stay away one way or another. That is until Zoey’s wedding day with Griffin that Evan finally decides to take declare his undying love for Zoey.

I could feel my heart breaking for Evan and Zoey. The anticipation of whom she would choose was nerve wrecking. I kept thinking of different scenarios in my mind of how this would end, but nothing prepared me for what I was in store for.

As for the epilogue I would have preferred for it to be closer to the end of the book. But I understand why she had to date it so far apart.

Michelle Lee has fascinated me with A Four Letter Word and I am looking forward to her future book releases. Maybe a novella to accompany this amazing book (hint, hint).
