Blog Tour + Review/Giveaway: Hey There Delilah (A Taboo Love Series #1) by M.D. Saperstein & Andria Large

Hey There, Delilah… By Andria Large and M.D. Saperstein

Synopsis:
Hi, my name is Delilah Sampson, and I am a self-proclaimed “frump girl.” My world came crashing down the day I walked in
on my boyfriend having sex with my boss, rendering me single and jobless. A new job fell into my lap as the secretary of the gorgeous, rich, powerful, and mighty cocky controlling partner at the Santino Law Firm. I spend my days trying to please a demanding boss, keeping my lustful thoughts to myself. Until one night, when my best friend drags me to a club, and I fall for a man whose true identity I will never know.

See, at Club Masquerade, everyone wears a mask and a name tag with a fake name. Also, on your nametag is a number that you are
assigned when you come into the club, which is linked to an in-house messaging system; no one is permitted to speak, which ensures that identities are kept secret. I meet my lover every Saturday at 9:00 pm sharp. We text and email constantly when we are not together, and I have somehow fallen in love with him.

But, then there is Nick Santino. He is the partner that I can’t keep my eyes off. Unfortunately, the only reason he hired me is because he is not attracted to me and all of my frump glory. Fortunately, for me, I am a kick ass secretary, so he keeps me around. Like many men in his position, Nick is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it; all without commitment, of course.

So when he finds a woman that he is both physically and emotionally attracted to, he finds himself in uncharted territory – love. And I can do nothing but be jealous from the sidelines – lusting for a man I can’t have, and loving a man I can’t know.

Hey there, Delilah is book 1 of a Taboo Love
series, in which we tackle the boss/secretary relationship. Each book will be a stand-alone with a HEA, but will have a few reoccurring characters.

Our Review
4 Stars

Delilah is a smart woman with a degree and a boyfriend she loves. She finds herself at job where she hates her boss but has to work in order to have the life she wants with her love. Never did she think walking in to her bitch boss's office oneThursday after lunch would change her world forever.

Heartbroken and with an already fragile self esteem Delilah finds herself interviewing for a job a friend of her mother's thought she would be great at surrounded by blonde bombshells. When it is her turn to be interviewed she meets who will soon be her new boss Nick.

Nick is successful, driven, sexy and a complete control freak. He finds himself having to interview women to replace the secretary he just lost because he couldn't keep his pants zipped up. He feels this won't be a problem with Delilah sure she seems like she has a pretty face but, like the rest of her hidden behind her too large clothing, its hidden behind outdated glasses. He makes the decision to hire her immediately.

We get to see the dynamic between these two as Delilah finds herself attracted to her boss but feels she's too "fumpy" and that he could never want her. Nick finds that he rather enjoys spending time with Delilah at work she's unlike any woman he's met and something about her just draws him in but he refuses to cross that line and risk losing the best Secretary he's ever had.

We get to see the effortless relationship between Nick and Delilah develop as well as the struggle they both have in dealing with it. We also get to see the dynamic they have with other people as they continue their struggle with their emotions Nick with his sexy Lala and Delilah with her delicious Nico.

Heartbreak, trust issues, love, lust, friendship and masquerade this book will keep you entertained with it's twists and will make your heart melt over and over again. A perfect book to cozy up under a blanket and read. Delilah has her own set of book boyfriends and her Nick definitely makes mine.

Excerpt

I cup her face in my
hands and lean down, brushing my lips over hers. Just the simplest connection
and I have to stifle a moan. My heart starts pounding madly in my chest. Jesus
Christ, I'm barely touching her! She gasps softly and th
at's the end of it - I lose control. I thrust my tongue
into her mouth and kiss her like I've never kissed a woman before. The passion
and pure need are feelings that I've never encountered before. Her hands ball
up in my shirt and she kisses me back just as fervently. Oh god, I'm so hard it
is bordering on painful.

Interview

Are any of the situations or characters based on your life or events in
your life?

Andria: Definitely. I think every author pulls things from their
life and puts them into their characters. You almost have to, to make them
real.

MD: Oh, yeah!   There is
no way around it.  You have to write what
you know. Spend some time with Andria and me, and you will think you are
listening to Delilah and Charlie.

Are there any sexual topics that you won't write about?

Andria &MD:  Bestiality,
incest, and sex with anyone under 18.

Those are definitely off the table.

Have you read another author’s book and wondered why didn't I come
up with that?

Andria: All the time!

MD: For sure. We all have our own brand of crazy.

Andria: Ain’t that the truth!

What are you reading right now?

Andria: Nothing at the moment, been too
focused on writing. Once I start on a book, if it’s good and I can’t put it
down, then the writing doesn’t get done!

MD:  I read about a book
every other day or so, so any answer I give here will be out dated in 48 hours!
lol

What's your favorite material object that you already own?

Andria: My iPhone, I think I’d die without it, lol.

MD:  I have to go with
my iPad with more memory so I can buy more books. I just bought the new Air and
I am like a pig in shit.

 What is your favorite quote?

Andria: “A family is a family not because of gender but because
of values, like commitment, trust and love.”

MD:  “…Then in spite of
everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.”

If your life story was made into a movie a) what would the title be? b)
who would play you?

Andria: The title would probably be “The Movie about Nothing!”
and I’ve been told a couple times that I look like Kate Hudson? I don’t know, I
don’t really see it, but I’d like her to play me, she is so cute and I love her
comedic side.

MD:  “The 101 Things I
do Every Day!”  I am not sure who would
play me. Definitely someone sarcastic, quick-witted, with a sharp tongue.

Dreamcast:

 About the authors:

Andria Large Bio

Andria is married and a stay at home
mother with two crazy little girls and two psychotic cats. She doesn't go
anywhere without her precious iPhone and a purse full of animal crackers. She
used to be obsessed with the Backstreet Boys, but now is only mildly obsessed
(still goes to every concert when they are in town). She loves cartoons and
Disney movies, and can probably recite every line from Dumb and Dumber. Humor is
a must in her life; otherwise, it would be completely boring. Pepsi is her
weakness, along with anything chocolate. She can’t sing to save her life, but
she pretends she can when she is alone in her car with the music blasting so
that she can’t hear herself. And don’t mess with her family because she will
fuck you up. She loves to read Romance. Paranormal, Scottish, Military, Police,
Firefighters, Athletes, Cowboys and M/M are her favorite. She is not so much a
fan of YA, though. If you haven’t been able to tell from reading her books, she
likes - whether she is reading them or writing them - lots of hot steamy sex.
Andria loves her fans and is always willing to chat. She works hard on her
books, does not get offended easily, and has a pretty thick skin when it comes
to negativity toward her work. She welcomes constructive criticism because she
feels that is how one betters themselves, by taking that constructive criticism
and using it. Andria’s books are her art, they are pieces of her, and she can
only hope that people will like what she does. For those who don’t, she asks
that you be respectful of her art. You don’t have to like it, but you don’t
have to be mean about it either.

M.D. Saperstein Bio:

Hi! My name
is M.D. Saperstein. I am currently a stay at home mom with my two gorgeous
kids. I wasn't always a full time mom, though. After graduating from the
University of Florida - Go Gators! - I attended law school at Stetson
University. I spent the next 10 years practicing law. I also spent some time
counseling mental health patients in an out patient psychiatric hospital. But,
until having my own children, my most rewarding job by far was licensing
families to receive abused and neglected foster children.

So, that brings us to today. In my spare time, while my children were napping, I started
editing novels for other authors. The more I edited, the more ready I felt to
write my own. I just needed a new and exciting story line. Once Hey There,
Delilah was conceived, the ball starting rolling very quickly. I hooked up with
fellow author Andria Large, and we decided to tackle it together. Best decision ever!

I spend most of my free time with my husband and children. But when I get some
"me" time, I love to read. Mostly romance and erotica, but I don't
discriminate - a good book is a good book, no matter the genre.

~Excerpt~

Phillip took one final step closer. “Just give me one more chance, please? I’m begging you, and you know I never beg.” He was starting to freak me out, displaying a new personality I’d never met before. I’d thought my introductions had been made with all of them by now.
“And if you go on one of you crazy rampages, then what? I’m supposed to forgive you again? I can’t keep going through this vicious cycle, Phillip.” I suddenly noticed he had slyly made his way into my house. Standing firmly by the door, I wasn’t about to let him in any further.

Toxic Secrets is a really good read. Jill managed to captivate my attention with the prologue and the more secrets are revealed throughout the book the more I wanted to know. It seemed that every time Courtney and Jaxon’s friendship would take a step forward something would happen and would bring them two steps back.

Courtney is a senior in high school and is trying to recover from her breakup with her douche of an ex boyfriend Phillip. Her best friend Kendra and boyfriend Reed set her up on a blind date with Jaxon, Reed’s cousin, in an attempt to get her out of her funk. Jaxon Vaughn is in town visiting his cousin to continue their business arrangement. He is hesitant to the blind date with a high school girl. He wants to avoid the drama and the obvious jail bait. That is until he receives a text from Reed with a picture of Courtney.

When Jaxon and Courtney finally meet there is an intense chemistry between them. Jaxon is “sex on a stick”; angular jaw, dimples, kissable lips, ice blue eyes and wearing a tight fitted shirt, which happens to show his nipple piercings, jeans hung low on the hips and a great dancer. His dancing skills are over the top that Courtney finds herself in a haze of pure lust after their first dance. Due to the age difference Jaxon tries to keep the relationship platonic and offers Courtney to be her best guy friend. The more they spend time together the more difficult it was for them to keep away from each other. They eventually give in to temptation and decide to give the long distance relationship a chance.

Just when you think everything is finally falling into place the story takes on a whole new twist. The consequences of their own actions catch up to them and next thing you know it’s “The end…For now.” I hate you Cliffhanger!!! I am anxiously waiting for Secrets Unveiled (Secrets #2) which is expected to be published until 2014. I need more Jaxon NOW!!!

~Interview with Jaxon Vaughn~

After a bit of persuasion, I finally talked Jaxon into taking a little time off from his busy schedule to do this interview. I wish you ladies could see him as he waltzed in with gray shorts, a black wife beater and black vans. Even though he’s a bit young for me and we’ve developed a close friendship, I still find him panty-melting hot. Shew! Now I know how Courtney feels.
Me – “Hi Jaxon, I’m so glad you agreed to meet for an interview. I know things have been a bit crazy for you lately.”
Jaxon – He grins a big closed mouth smile, displaying his deep and delicious dimples.
Me – “A few friends of mine wanted to ask a few questions so I’ll start with theirs first. Do you believe in love at first sight?”
Jaxon – He narrows his eyes at me. “Is that a trick question?” He rubs the scruff on his face, staring at me, waiting for me to answer.
Me – I laugh nervously. “I’m not the one being interviewed here, but okay, I’ll move on. Are you a one woman man?”
Jaxon – “Next,” he deadpanned without even looking at me.
Me – Wow! The temperature in the room dropped about fifteen degrees. “Have you ever considered any other piercings?”
Jaxon – “No. Courtney pierced my heart, so anything else now will never matter.”
Me – I decided to skip the next question about him and Courtney’s future plans. Instead, I opted for one I knew he would jump all over. “So, I hear you have a restored ’72 Chevy truck, is that right?”
Jaxon – His lips spread out over his face as if he was a kid opening up his most wanted gift on Christmas. Chuckling, he replied, “Oh yes! That’s my baby, my black stallion. She belonged to my grampa. After my grampa died, my gramma kept her for me to drive as soon as I turned sixteen. I took care of her over the years and polished her to perfection so she would be ready once I got my license. She’s sort of attached to me now. She gets very jealous over other girls.”
Me – “Haha! So I’ve heard. Does anyone ever get to take a ride with her?”
Jaxon – “Of course! As long as she doesn’t feel threatened, she’s okay with it. You wanna go?” He asked, his thumb pointing in the direction of the door.
Me – I’m utterly baffled. “Hell yeah, I want to go for a ride.”
Jaxon – “Well c’mon! This interview blows anyway. I’ll show you what a good time really is,” he laughed, his eyes looking at me all seductive-like.
Me – No way was he flirting with me. I’m gushing inside right now. He doesn’t know it yet, but I’m gonna make sure we make a full day out of this. See ya! I got a hot guy that needs an older woman’s attention.

~About Author Jill Patten~

 photo 1367775529601.jpg

Jill Patten was born a Yankee, but raised a southerner. She lives in the small town of Mayberry, North Carolina which was made famous by a popular TV show back in the sixties. (Maybe there will one day be a statue of her at the end of Main Street. Ha! A girl can dream, right?)

Jill has always loved to read, even during reading labs in middle school for reading comprehension. Judy Blume was her first author she hero-worshipped, maturing to revere the works of Stephen King. With all the fantastic authors today, she simply cannot choose a favorite. Her taste is very eclectic and she loves almost all genres. When she's not captivated by her fictional characters, she spends time with her sweet husband and two beautiful children.

Music is her muse. Jill also loves elephants, sarcasm, and anything made with sugar, especially sweet tea. She enjoys all things rude and crude and laughs at stuff she probably shouldn't. She has been accused of being bossy a time or two, but doesn't really see it herself.

All in all, Jill is just a small town girl in this great big world trying to enable your book addiction.

Oh, and if you read her book, please leave her a review - good or bad, she'll love you forever.
