While the chaos and bloodshed have slowed for a short period, life is never quiet in the world of Breakneck. The club is taking time to regroup from internal betrayal and the changing of the guard in a rival group.
Zig Zag became a father at the age of thirteen. While raising a child has never been easy, now his eighteen year old daughter Tatiana makes his life downright hard. I am in love the Breakneck Series. I recommend you read Seize Me before reading Withstanding Me so you won’t miss out on any of the gory details from this series.
Crystal Spears has done it again; she has me completely enthralled with “Withstanding Me”. She not only gave us the POV of ZZ and Storm but she also gave us an insight of Tatiana, Shadow’s and a few others which just made it that much better.
ZZ is the Road Captain in the Breakneck MC and single father of Tatiana. ZZ has had to endure the loss of his father during a feud with a rival MC. While dealing with all the MC troubles he is also trying to take care of his grieving mother and to deal with the rebellious acts of his daughter Tatiana.
ZZ is not one to be tied down to one woman. He is used to getting whomever he wants whenever he wants it. That is until he decided he wanted Storm. No matter how much of a badass ZZ tried to be, deep down he was fighting the love he felt for Storm. The more she refused the more he felt the need to have her.
Storm is strong and witty regardless of what she went thru as a sex slave. After being rescued by Winter she decides to stay with the Breakneck MC as the Manager for all of Winter’s clubs. She falls in love with the badass biker ZZ. Unfortunately ZZ does not reciprocate the sentiment and is only interested in a one night stand. Storm refuses to settle for less than what she deserves and decides to start dating. Regardless of the lack of commitment on ZZ behalf Storm loves him and always makes good on her word even putting her life in danger to protect ZZ’s loved ones.
Overall I love ZZ and Storm’s love story. The chemistry they have is overwhelming. I could feel the love, need and heartbreak between them. But we can’t have an MC love story without the drama surrounding it. It has violence, cussing, crude humor and steamy hot sex scenes.
I can’t wait to read what Crystal has in store for us for Shadow’s and Tatiana’s Story since she mentioned Shadow’s side life and Tatiana’s new interest.
