5 STARS
I am in complete awe of this book that I can’t even begin to say how much I enjoyed reading it. After reading the synopsis and viewing the video trailer my expectations were high. A Four Letter Word managed to meet all my expectations plus more.
A Four Letter Word is very light and easy read, it gave me a little bit of everything I would want in a story. From the friendship to the love to heartbreak and finally the happily ever after.
The second I began reading A Four Letter Word I was reeled in by the easy banter of Evan and Zoey. Their friendship is beautiful; you can feel the love and trust that they have in each other. Don’t get me started with their new friends. They are amazingly outspoken and teased like there was no tomorrow. Once you got all the characters together it was a recipe for fun.
But not everything could be fun in games. Along comes Griffin and sweeps Zoey off her feet, leaving Evan on the sidelines. No matter how much Zoey tries to keep her best friend close, Evan is determined to stay away one way or another. That is until Zoey’s wedding day with Griffin that Evan finally decides to take declare his undying love for Zoey.
I could feel my heart breaking for Evan and Zoey. The anticipation of whom she would choose was nerve wrecking. I kept thinking of different scenarios in my mind of how this would end, but nothing prepared me for what I was in store for.
As for the epilogue I would have preferred for it to be closer to the end of the book. But I understand why she had to date it so far apart.
Michelle Lee has fascinated me with A Four Letter Word and I am looking forward to her future book releases. Maybe a novella to accompany this amazing book (hint, hint).
